Enough Already
A guided group for women ready to understand their people pleasing
Enough Already is a six-week virtual group for women who are tired of apologizing for everything, anxious when anyone seems upset, and completely worn out from putting themselves last. If you've ever wondered why you can't just stop, this is for you.
Who this is for
You've told yourself a hundred times to stop caring so much about what other people think. You know your needs matter. You know it's okay if someone's upset with you.
And yet.
The second you sense someone might be annoyed, hurt, or pulling away, something takes over. You're already replaying the conversation, already trying to figure out what you did, already working to fix it before you even know if there's anything to fix.
You're not doing this because you're weak or overly sensitive. You're doing it because at some point in your life, keeping everyone around you happy was how you stayed safe. Your nervous system learned that. And now it won't let go, even when you want it to.
This isn't a motivation problem. It's a nervous system problem. And this group is for women who are exhausted from living that way and ready to finally understand why it's so hard to stop.
What This Is (and Isn't)
Before you say yes, here's what six weeks together actually looks like
This isn't therapy, and it isn't a lecture.
It's a small group of women working through the same pattern together, with me guiding the conversation each week.
You'll get language for what's happening in you.
Language is power. You'll finally have words for that moment right before you say yes when you mean no, and start labeling it in your life.
Expect real talk, not a
script.
There will be conversation, some humor, a fair number "same, girl", and room to talk through how this actually shows up in your life, not just the theory of it.
Meet Your Guide
Hi, I'm Whitney Hartzell, LCSW
I created this group after noticing the same thing over and over in my individual therapy sessions: smart, capable women who understood, intellectually, that people pleasing wasn't serving them anymore, and still could not make themselves stop.
The gap between knowing and doing is not a willpower problem. It's a nervous system one.
That idea didn't come out of nowhere. Early in my career, I spent time working with women rebuilding their sense of safety, and I saw how often "just stop caring so much what people think" got handed to them as advice, even when their nervous system had never actually learned it was safe to stop. I've carried that lesson into every room I've worked in since.
I built Enough Already because this pattern deserved a space of its own. Not a side note in another kind of work. The main event.
