Trauma therapist in Dallas providing EMDR therapy for women with anxiety

Therapy for Anxiety, People-Pleasing, and Relationship Trauma in Dallas

You're exhausted from holding it all together. You look fine on paper, but inside you're anxious, disconnected, and questioning everything.

If you've been in emotionally unsafe relationships, struggle with people-pleasing, or feel like your body is always on high alert, you're in the right place. This is trauma therapy that goes deeper than surface coping skills. I use EMDR, CPT, and Somatic Therapy to help your nervous system heal, not just manage symptoms.

A space where your story makes sense.

This isn't your average talk therapy.

I specialize in trauma and relationship recovery using EMDR, CPT, and Somatic Therapy. That means we're working with your nervous system, not just your thoughts. We're getting to the roots of why you people-please, why boundaries feel impossible, and why your body feels unsafe even when your life looks calm.

Unlike general therapists, I'm trained in covert abuse and emotional trauma. I won't minimize what you've been through or tell you to "just set better boundaries." I understand how trauma lives in your body, and I know how to help you heal at that level.

My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. You'll never have to perform or pretend here.

What I Help With

You don’t have to be falling apart to come to therapy. Most of the women I work with look put together on the outside yet feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected on the inside.

If you’re like most of my clients, you’ve been pushing through for a long time. You’re decent at functioning. You’re good at carrying more than your share. But lately something feels off, and maybe you can’t quite name it.

Here are the patterns that usually bring people through my door:

Relationship Trauma & Emotional Abuse Recovery

Gaslighting. Constant criticism. Walking on eggshells. Always feeling like you're the problem. Whether you call it emotional abuse, an unhealthy relationship, or just 'complicated,' what you experienced was real, and it left an impact. I specialize in helping women:

  • Recognize covert emotional abuse patterns

  • Rebuild self-trust after invalidating relationships

  • Stop questioning their reality

  • Heal from narcissistic or controlling partners

  • Process trauma without feeling dramatic

It doesn't have to leave bruises to leave scars. You deserve trauma-informed care.

Anxiety & Nervous System Dysregulation

Your anxiety isn't random. It makes sense when we look at how your body learned to survive. If you're dealing with:

  • Constant overthinking and worst-case scenarios

  • Physical symptoms (racing heart, tight chest, trouble sleeping, headaches, stomach problems, etc.)

  • Feeling "on edge" even when nothing is wrong

  • Difficulty relaxing or feeling safe in your body

  • Navigating life transitions like motherhood or career changes.

This is your nervous system trying to protect you. We can help it feel safe again.

People-Pleasing, Perfectionism & Boundaries

People-pleasing isn't a personality flaw. It's a survival response. If you:

  • Put everyone else's needs before your own

  • Feel guilty for saying no or having boundaries

  • Struggle with perfectionism or chronic self-doubt

  • Feel responsible for other people's emotions

  • Have a hard time knowing what YOU actually want

We'll work together to understand where these patterns came from and help you feel safe putting yourself first.

The Women
I Support

Most of the women I work with fall into one of two camps:

You're the high-functioning anxious one. You look fine on paper, you show up for everyone, but inside, you're exhausted and don't even know why. You've been strong your whole life, and honestly? You're tired.

Or you've been in a relationship that didn't feel safe. Maybe it was emotionally abusive, maybe you're not even sure what to call it. You just know you question yourself constantly, and you're terrified a therapist will tell you you're overreacting.

Sound familiar? You're in the right place.

Why Specialized Training Matters

Not all therapists understand trauma and abuse dynamics. I've spent years training specifically in EMDR, CPT, and complex trauma recovery, with specialized training in domestic violence and abuse dynamics. That means you won't be told to 'communicate better' or 'just leave' without understanding why that feels impossible. I get the nuance of covert abuse, nervous system dysregulation, and why your body feels unsafe even when you're physically safe.

What to Expect

Most women come in unsure where to begin. You don’t need a polished timeline or a neat story. You don’t even have to be confident about going to therapy. You just need to show up, and we’ll take it from there.

Initial Phone Consult

Before we schedule anything long-term, we’ll start with a quick 15-minute phone call. Consider this a vibe-check and a chance for both of us to see if we’re a good match. I always say finding the right therapist is a lot like dating, but with a lot less awkwardness (thank goodness!)

This call is casual, low-stakes, and designed to take the edge off the nerves that come with starting therapy. You don’t need a script, a speech, or a perfect explanation of what’s going on. I’ll answer your questions, explain the process, and make sure I can support you best on your therapy journey

Not Sure if Therapy is Right for You?

That's completely normal. Most of my clients weren't 100% sure when they reached out. The free consultation exists exactly for this reason. You can ask questions, get a feel for my approach, and decide if it feels like a fit. No pressure, no commitment.
